Orlando wears two hats. He is an actor whose credits include The History Boys (UK tour and West End) Pirandello’s Henry IV(Donmar Warehouse); and A Midsummer Night’s DreamAntony and CleopatraOthello (RSC). He also appeared in the long running Channel 4 series As If

He also writes. His first play, The Winter Room, received its first outing at the RSC fringe festival, and since then he has written three more plays and two episodes of robot cartoon XOL.  

Director: PHOEBE BARRAN

Phoebe has worked for the RSC as an assistant director and for the National Theatre as a staff director on The History Boys. Directing credits include Heart’s Desire at the Edinburgh Festival; Scenes from a separation and Suppressed Desires at the Orange Tree and Ours at the Finborough Theatre (Timeout Critics choice).

Bird & Be Productions was set up in 2008 by Lliana Bird and Phoebe Barran to put on first-rate productions of brilliant and provocative plays by fledgling writers. It realises a twenty year long childhood dream of Phoebe and Lliana and we are proud to have such a fantastic play for our first production.

Anna is Joint Artistic Director of True/Fiction Theatre, and has worked in text development and dramaturgy on projects for the RSC, Young Vic, and BAC. Upcoming designs includeThe Exquisite Corpse (Southwark Playhouse).

Lliana has worked as a radio presenter and broadcast journalist for Xfm, BBC, Capital fm and ITV's London Tonight and regularly appears as a commentator on Sky News. She also has strong background in theatre having worked as an actress and in entertainment PR with Mark Borkowski for several years on productions including Cirque du Soleil and Mamma Mia!
